pub enum Inputs {
Nothing,
Inline,
SelfTexture,
Backdrop,
}Expand description
What an effect needs before it can draw.
Variants§
Nothing
Draws over what is there. No pass, no capture, no cost.
Inline
Drawn through a program surface by surface, in each surface’s own
place: no capture. CLIPPED_SURFACE and CLIPPED_SOLID are such
programs, for rounding. A renderer can run it: solium::pass’s
an_effect_drawn_inline_can_be_run.
SelfTexture
The node’s own pixels, rendered to a texture first.
Backdrop
What is already composited beneath the node.
Declared here and implemented nowhere. It is what blur needs, and naming it is most of why this enum exists – an effect system whose vocabulary cannot express blur has decided blur is impossible rather than unimplemented.
Nothing constructs it yet. Whatever plans the passes must refuse it out loud rather than let it fall through to drawing inline: a blur that silently renders as no blur looks like a style that failed to load, and nobody reports that as a compositor bug.
